Big Brother Naija Season 11 winner Temi Nkem has received a ₦90 million cash prize and a new Hyundai SUV following her victory in the “Show Ya Sef” edition.
According to PUNCH, the prize presentation took place on Tuesday, 6 October, at the Big Brother Naija House premises in Ilupeju, Lagos.
The presentation followed Sunday’s finale, where Temi Nkem emerged as the winner after 10 weeks of competition.
Family and housemates attend presentation
Premium Times reported that the 21-year-old attended the ceremony with her mother. Several fellow Season 11 housemates were also present.
Representatives handed over the vehicle and its keys at the event. Temi Nkem thanked her family, fans and those who supported her during her 70 days in the house.
The newspaper reported that her supporters, known as the “Teminators”, were among those she acknowledged during the presentation.
Cash forms part of a wider prize package
PUNCH reports that the overall prize package is valued at ₦160 million and includes the ₦90 million cash award, the Hyundai SUV and other benefits provided by sponsors.
The ₦160 million figure therefore represents the combined package, rather than the amount presented as cash.
According to Premium Times, the cash component was originally ₦100 million before ₦10 million was allocated to the season’s Most Influential Player of the Week fund. The remaining winner’s cash prize was ₦90 million.
How she won the season
Africa Magic’s official finale account confirms that Temi Nkem was crowned winner on Sunday, 4 October.
The broadcaster said 24 housemates competed during the season. Temi Nkem, Aikou, and Sheba were the final three contestants left in contention before the winner was announced.
Africa Magic described the season as involving weekly tasks, friendships, disagreements, and changes to the competition, with Temi Nkem remaining until the final announcement.
Premium Times reported that she secured 25.87% of the final votes. Aikou finished second with 23.68%, while Sheba placed third with 9.80%.
Temi Nkem’s winning margin over Aikou was 2.19 percentage points. Tuesday’s ceremony followed that result with the formal presentation of her cash award and vehicle.
