Detectives are appealing for information after a 15-year-old boy and his father suffered life-threatening injuries in an attack at their home in Thurnby, Leicestershire.
In an update issued on Friday 9 October, police said the boy and his father, a man in his 50s, remained in hospital in critical condition.
Attack happened early on Thursday
Officers were called at 12.26am on Thursday 8 October to a house in Station Road, at its junction with Somerby Road, following a report that two masked men had entered and attacked the occupants.

The boy’s mother, a woman in her 40s, suffered minor injuries to her hand and shoulder. She received hospital treatment and was later discharged. Three other children in the house were not injured. (leics.police.uk, leics.police.uk)
