Poco Lee’s UK Plea Hearing Moved to February 2027 as Trial Date Is Set

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is expected to return to a London court in February 2027 to enter a plea over five alleged sexual offences.

Snaresbrook Crown Court has fixed February 8, 2027, for a plea and trial preparation hearing. His trial is currently scheduled to begin on March 8, 2027.

The hearing had originally been listed for September 15, 2026, but it did not proceed because the charge sheet was unavailable.

BBC News Pidgin reported that Poco Lee did not appear and no plea was entered. The court then set the new hearing and trial dates.

Five charges before the court

Poco Lee faces five sexual offence charges comprising one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

The charges were previously confirmed by an administrative official at Snaresbrook Crown Court, according to a report by Premium Times.

A reporting restriction is in place to protect the identity of the complainant. Information that could identify the complainant must not be published.

The publicly available court information has not provided details of the circumstances surrounding the alleged offences.

Poco Lee remains on bail

Snaresbrook Crown Court confirmed that Poco Lee was granted bail on September 11 following an earlier court appearance.

The decision to grant bail does not amount to an acquittal and does not determine whether the allegations are true. It allows him to remain outside custody while the case continues, subject to any conditions imposed by the court.

Punch reported that the court gallery was filled with people who had attended the September hearing, while others reportedly waited outside.

The reason for the delay was the unavailability of the charge sheet. No plea has been recorded and the court has not made any finding concerning the allegations.

Dancer denies wrongdoing

Poco Lee has denied committing the alleged offences.

During a recent Instagram Live conversation, he maintained that he had done nothing wrong. TheCable reported that the dancer said he remained confident in his innocence.

His denial represents his position on the charges. The allegations will ultimately be determined through the court process.

What happens next

At the plea and trial preparation hearing on February 8, Poco Lee is expected to formally indicate whether he pleads guilty or not guilty to each charge.

The hearing may also be used to confirm evidence, witnesses and other arrangements ahead of the trial currently listed for March 8.

Court schedules can change, particularly when legal or administrative issues arise. The February and March dates therefore remain subject to any further directions from the court.

Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence. The charges remain allegations, and he is legally presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
