Israeli forces searched the offices of Palestinian civil society organizations in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, while Palestinian sources reported a military deployment at the Palestine Medical Complex.
According to Al Jazeera, troops searched the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees and the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association. Its correspondent in Ramallah reported that soldiers were removing equipment from Addameer’s premises.
Snipers Reported at Hospital Entrances
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli forces entered the grounds of the Palestine Medical Complex and positioned snipers near its entrances. The agency attributed the account to local sources.
The Palestine Medical Complex is a major government hospital in the occupied West Bank. A separate WAFA account said troops prevented people from entering or leaving the compound during the operation.
The reports raise concerns about access to healthcare, but the available information does not establish whether ambulances were delayed, patients were injured inside the hospital, or medical services were suspended.
Rights Group Offices Searched
Al Jazeera reported that soldiers searched two Palestinian organizations. Addameer provides legal assistance and advocacy relating to Palestinian prisoners. Israel previously designated the organization a terrorist group, a classification contested by Palestinian rights organizations.
Al Jazeera’s Arabic-language coverage also described the removal of documents and other materials from Addameer’s office. The complete inventory of seized property has not been independently established.
No new Israeli military statement explaining the purpose of Tuesday’s operation was verified in the reporting reviewed. Claims that all affected premises were sealed or that the raids targeted illegal financing should therefore not be presented as established facts.
Injuries Reported in Wider Ramallah Operation
In a separate report, WAFA cited the Palestinian Health Ministry as saying a 14-year-old was wounded by live ammunition during the wider incursion in Ramallah. The agency also reported cases of tear-gas inhalation and injuries to journalists.
Those incidents were reported during the broader military operation and should not be confused with events inside the hospital compound.
The raids and reported deployment near the medical complex come amid continuing tensions in the occupied West Bank. The full impact on hospital access and the Israeli military’s response to the reported incidents remained unclear at the time of publication.
